Removal and Installation

Removal
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Raise the vehicle.





3. Disconnect the heat shield and remove the nuts on the shifter assembly.
^ Lower the vehicle.
4. Remove the floor console.
5. Remove the shifter assembly.
^ Disconnect the shift cable and the selector cable.





^ Remove the cables from their abutment brackets by twisting each abutment bracket counterclockwise.
^ Remove the shifter assembly.

Installation
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.





^ Adjust the shifter cables.
