Front

Removal
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.





2. Center the steering wheel and lock in position.





3. Remove the steering column shaft to flexible coupling clamp plate bolt.
^ Remove the bolt and rotate the clamp plate to disengage.

4. CAUTION: When removing the floor seal do not damage the sealing clips.





Remove the floor seal.
1 Release the retaining clips.
2 Disconnect the upper retainer.





5. Support the radiator on both sides.
6. Slacken the front wheel nuts.
7. Raise and support the vehicle.
8. Remove the front wheels.





9. Remove the radiator splash shield.





10. Remove the splash shield.





11. Detach the radiator support brackets.





12. Detach the bumper support brackets.





13. Detach the air conditioning condenser (if equipped).





14. Detach the heated oxygen sensor electrical wiring from the subframe.





15. Remove the front support insulator.
16. Remove the three way catalytic converter.





17. Remove the rear support insulator.





18. Remove the rear support insulator mounting bracket.





19. Detach the stabilizer bar connecting links.
20. Using a suitable transmission jack, support the subframe assembly.





21. Remove the subframe retaining bolts.





22. Lower the subframe to gain access to the stabilizer bar retaining bolts.





23. Remove the stabilizer bar clamp bolts (two each side).
24. Remove the stabilizer bar.

Installation





1. Install the stabilizer bar (two bolts each side).





2. Install the special tool.
1 Install the special tools in the subframe alignment holes.
2 Install the locking pins.
3 Tighten the sleeves.





3. Using the special tools, align the subframe.

4. NOTE: Install the blue colored bolts to the front.





Install the subframe retaining bolts.





5. Remove the special tools.
1 Loosen the alignment pin sleeves.
2 Disengage the locking pins.
3 Remove the alignment pins from the subframe aligning holes.





6. Install the stabilizer bar connecting links.





7. Using the special tool, align the power train.
1 Install the alignment tool.
2 Install the center bolt.





8. Install the rear support insulator.





9. Install the rear support insulator center bolt.

10. Install the three way catalytic converter.





11. Remove the special tool.
1 Remove the center bolt.
2 Remove the alignment tool.





12. Install the front support insulator.





13. Attach the heated oxygen sensor electrical wiring to the subframe.





14. Attach the air conditioning condenser (if equipped).





15. Install the bumper support brackets.





16. Attach the radiator support brackets.





17. Install the splash shield.





18. Install the radiator splash shield.





19. Install the front wheels.
20. Lower the vehicle.





21. Remove the radiator supports on both sides.





22. Install the floor seal.

23. WARNING: Install a new clamp bolt. Failure to follow this instruction may result in personal injury.





Install the steering column shaft to the flexible coupling.

24. Connect the battery ground cable.
