Generator
Removal
1. Release the fuel pressure.
2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
3. Remove the intake air resonator.
1. Disconnect the air cleaner outlet tube.
2. Remove the bolts and nuts.
3. Remove the resonator.
4. Disconnect the fuel line.
5. Disconnect the ground cable.
6. Disconnect the generator electrical connectors.
7. Remove the accessory drive belt.
8. Lower the vehicle.
Note: The lower bolt cannot be fully removed until the generator is repositioned.
9. Fully loosen the lower bolt and remove the upper bolt.
Caution: There is a very limited amount of space in which to remove the generator. Do not overstress or damage any hoses or cables.
10. Life the generator clear of the engine.
Installation
Note: To aid installation, push the sliding bushing flush with the generator casing.
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
