DISCONNECTION
1. Relieve the fuel pressure.
WARNING
^ DO NOT SMOKE OR CARRY LIGHTED TOBACCO OR OPEN FLAME OF ANY TYPE WHEN WORKING ON OR NEAR ANY FUEL RELATED COMPONENTS. HIGHLY FLAMMABLE VAPORS ARE ALWAYS PRESENT AND MAY IGNITE. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS WILL RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.
^ THE FUEL SYSTEM REMAINS PRESSURIZED FOR A LONG TIME AFTER THE IGNITION IS SWITCHED OFF. THE FUEL PRESSURE MUST BE RELIEVED BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY REPAIRS. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS WILL RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.
2. Remove the safety clips from the spring lock couplings.
3. Install the spring lock coupling disconnect tools.
4. Close and push the disconnect tool into the open side of the cage.
5. Separate the fitting.
6. Remove the disconnect tool.
INSTALLATION
1. Inspect and clean both coupling ends. Replace the O-rings and garter springs if necessary.
2. Fit the male fitting into the female end and push until the garter spring snaps over the flared end of the female fitting.
NOTE: Lubricate the O-rings with clean engine oil.
3. Make sure the coupling engagement by pulling on the lines.
