Daytime Running Lamp Relay: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the cover from the Battery Junction Box.







3. Remove the Daytime Running Lamp (DRL) relay (R1).
1 Low beam relay (R9)
2 High beam relay (R10)
3 DRL, relay (R1)

WARNING: THE DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS (DRL) RELAY (R1) GETS VERY HOT DURING OPERATION. MAKE SURE THE RELAY HAS COOLED BEFORE HANDLING IT. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS INSTRUCTION MAY RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
