Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

NOTE: All measurements MUST be carried out using a digital multimeter.

1. Verify the customer concern by operating the stoplamps.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage:

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
^ Damaged Brake Pedal Position (BPP) switch
^ Damaged direction indicator switch

Electrical
^ Failed fuse(s)
^ Damaged wire harness
^ Loose or corroded connectors
^ Damaged stoplamp bulb
^ Damaged shorting bar
