Compressor Clutch: Adjustments

Compressor Clutch Holding Tool:

SPECIAL TOOL(S)







1. Check the air gap between the compressor drive pulley and the compressor pulley at 120 degree intervals.
1 Compressor pulley
2 Shim
3 Drive plate
2. If the air gap is not within specification, remove the A/C compressor.







3. Using the special tool, remove the A/C clutch bolt and drive plate.
4. Adjust the air gap by adding or removing shims.







5. Install the compressor drive plate.
6. Check the air gap between the compressor drive plate and the compressor pulley at 120 degree intervals.
7. Install the A/C compressor.
