Automatic Transaxle

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

WARNING: WAIT AT LEAST ONE MINUTE AFTER DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY CABLES BEFORE REMOVING THE FLOOR CONSOLE. FAILURE TO FOLLOW THIS INSTRUCTION MAY INCREASE THE POSSIBILITY OF ACCIDENTALLY DEPLOYING THE AIR BAG(S) AND MAY CAUSE PERSONAL INJURY.







2. Remove the rear floor console screws.
^ Position the front seats to gain access.
3. Fully apply the parking brake lever.







4. Detach the shift indicator selector bezel.







5. Raise and remove the rear floor console.

NOTE: The rear floor console must be raised to disengage the front retaining clips.







6. Remove the four front floor console retaining screws.







7. Detach remove the front floor console.
1. Position the gearshift lever in the 1 position.
2. Partially remove the front floor console.







8. Disconnect the cigar lighter electrical connections and remove the front center console.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
