ISSUE
The fuel filler door may not completely close. This may be due to excess plastic material on the rear hinge.

ACTION
Remove the excess plastic material from the hinge.

Refer to the following Service Procedure for details.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1. Open the fuel door.





2. Inspect the fuel door rear hinge for excess material at the back of the fuel housing (Figure 1).








3. Use an appropriate cutting implement to trim away the excess material, making a flush hinge/rib surface (Figures 2 and 3).

4. Inspect and test to ensure the fuel door closes properly.
