Wiper Motor Linkage: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the cowl top vent panel.
3. Position the evaporative emission canister purge valve aside.
1 Remove the nuts.
2 Position the evaporative emission canister purge valve aside.
4. Position the mounting arm and pivot shaft aside.
1 Remove the bolts.
2 Position the mounting arm and pivot shaft aside.
5. Remove the mounting arm and pivot shaft.
^ Disconnect the electrical connector.
^ Disconnect the washer supply hose.
NOTE: If necessary, remove the windshield wiper motor.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.
