Heated Rear Glass
PRINCIPLES OF OPERATIONThe heated rear window is controlled by the Lighting Control Module (LCM). The ignition switch must be in RUN for the heated rear window to operate. Pressing the heated rear window switch grounds the input to the LCM. The LCM detects the line at ground and checks the ignition switch position. If the module detects the ignition switch in RUN, ground is supplied to the heated rear window relay output. The heated rear window relay coil is energized which closes the contacts and supplies power to the rear window and the ON indicator on the heated rear window switch.
