Crankshaft Position Sensor: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the accessory drive belt.
3. Raise and support the vehicle.
WARNING: THE ELECTRICAL POWER TO THE AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM MUST BE SHUT OFF PRIOR TO HOISTING, JACKING OR TOWING AN AIR SUSPENSION VEHICLE. THIS CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED BY TURNING OFF THE AIR SUSPENSION SWITCH. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY RESULT IN UNEXPECTED INFLATION OR DEFLATION OF THE AIR SPRINGS WHICH MAY RESULT IN SHIFTING OF THE VEHICLE DURING THESE OPERATIONS.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor.
5. Remove the two bolts and position the A/C compressor out of the way.
6. Remove the bolt.
7. Remove the crankshaft position sensor.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
