V: Multiple DTC's-Unexpected Feature Present

Normal Operation
The air bag Electronic Crash Sensor (ECS) module supports features that are not used in these vehicles. The wiring harness pins used by the ECS for these features are normally left disconnected in these vehicles. If the ECS detects a connection to pin 3, 4, 5, 8, 9, 16, 18, 20, 23, 24, 25, 26 or 27, it will store a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B1871, B1877, B1878, B1879, B1881, B1882, B1883, B1884, B1885, B1886, B1889 or B1890 in memory and flash a Lamp Fault Code (LFC) 17, 18, 25, 27, 46 or 47.

Possible Causes
An unexpected feature present can be caused by:
- wiring harness fault causing connection to a normally unused ECS pin.
- internal ECS module fault.
