Wiper Control Module: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
CAUTION: Electronic modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.
2. Remove the tunnel brace trim cover.
1 Remove pin-type retainers.
2 Remove the tunnel brace trim cover.
3. Position the instrument panel ash receptacle aside.
1 Remove the screws.
2 Position the instrument panel ash receptacle aside.
4. Remove the instrument panel ash receptacle assembly.
1 Disconnect the electrical connector.
2 Remove the instrument panel ash receptacle.
5. Remove the windshield wiper control module.
1 Remove the screw.
2 Disconnect the electrical connector.
3 Remove the windshield wiper control module.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 miles) or more to relearn the strategy.
