Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Verify the customer concern by operating the system.
2. Visually inspect for the following obvious signs of mechanical or electrical damage.

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
^ Verify that the horn retaining bolt is tight
^ Verify that the horns are not touching surrounding sheet metal or other components
^ Damaged steering wheel pad horn switch (part of driver side air bag module)

Electrical
^ Blown fuse:
- Battery Junction Box (BJB) Fuse 5 (15 A)
^ Damaged wiring harness Damaged horn relay
