Backup Lamp: Description and Operation

PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION

NOTE: The reversing lamps are not powered by the lighting control module.

The reversing lamp system consists of the:
^ reversing lamps in the rear panel deflector.
^ circuit wiring and circuit protection.
^ Digital Transmission Range (DTR) sensor.

With the transmission in REVERSE, the DTR sensor contacts close and power is provided to the reversing lamp bulbs.
