Disassembly and Assembly

DISASSEMBLY
1. Remove the instrument cluster.







2. Remove the instrument cluster lens.
- Remove the six screws.







3. Remove the instrument cluster mask.
- Remove the four screws.







4. Remove the fuel/volt gauge.

CAUTION: Handle gauges and components with care to avoid possible damage.

NOTE: Make no attempt to adjust the needle.







5. Remove the engine coolant temperature gauge.







6. Remove the transmission range indicator.
- Push inward on the locking tabs.







7. Remove the speedometer.
8. Remove all the miniature bulbs.







9. Remove the fuel indicator module.
a. Release the locking tab.
b. Remove the fuel indicator module.







10. Remove all the gauge contact clips from the rear of the instrument cluster by compressing the clip ends together and pushing the clips through the back of the instrument cluster back plate. Discard the old clips.

CAUTION: When removing the gauge contact clips, be careful not to damage the instrument cluster printed circuit.

11. Carefully remove the instrument cluster printed circuit.

ASSEMBLY
1. To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.

NOTE: New gauge contact clips must be used for assembly.
