Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview
NOTE: If any concerns are noted with the speedometer, stoplamps or horn, address those concerns by referring to their associated system before continuing speed control diagnosis.1. Verify the customer concern by operating the speed control system.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage.
VISUAL INSPECTION CHART
Mechanical
- Damaged speed control actuator cable
- Speed control actuator cable not attached to throttle
Electrical
- Battery Junction Box (BJB) Fuse:
- 5 (15A)
- Central Junction Box (CJB) Fuses:
- 1 (15A)
- 6 (15A)
- Damaged wiring
- Loose, corroded or dirty connections
- Damaged speed control actuator switches
