Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder: Service and Repair
Removal1. NOTE: Ordering the correct ignition switch lock cylinder to match existing vehicle keys can be achieved through Ford/Lincoln Mercury Dealerships.
Remove the steering column lower shroud.
2. Remove the passive anti-theft system transceiver.
1 Disconnect the transceiver electrical connector.
2 Remove the screw.
3 Remove the transceiver.
3. Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder.
1 Insert and turn the key to accessory (position 1).
2 Depress the retainer.
3 Remove the ignition switch lock cylinder.
Installation
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
