A damaged brake lamp switch may cause any of the following conditions to occur:

^ Inoperative brake lights (switch stays "open").

^ Brake lights staying on continuously (switch shorted or stays "closed").

^ Cannot shift out of PARK (open circuit).

^ Speed control will not switch off when brake pedal is depressed.

^ Speed control will not activate.

^ Discharged battery.
