Brake Pad Wear Sensor: Testing and Inspection

The HEC receives information directly from the left front brake pad sensor, right front brake pad sensor, and left rear brake pad sensor. The sensors are normally closed, thus grounding the circuits to the HEC. If a sensor opens or if an open or short to battery occurs to the circuit the brake pad wear indicator illuminates.
