Fuel Injector Wiring Harness: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the upper intake manifold.







2. Disconnect the Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) actuator electrical connector.







3. Disconnect the Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector.







4. Disconnect the fuel injection wiring harness main in-line electrical connectors.







5. Disconnect the following electrical connectors.
1 Ignition coil.
2 Radio capacitor.







6. Disconnect the following electrical connectors (belt removed for clarity).
1 The Engine Oil Pressure (EOP) switch.
2 The Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor.
3 The Camshaft Position (CMP) sensor.







7. Disconnect the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) electrical connector.







8. Disconnect the six fuel injector electrical connectors.







9. Remove the eight wiring harness retainers and remove the fuel injection wiring harness

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: When installing the six fuel injector electrical connectors, begin at the front of the engine, and install sequentially working toward the rear.
