Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

REMOVAL







1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the exhaust gas recirculation valve.







2. Disconnect the Idle Air Control (IAC) valve electrical connector.







3. Detach the IAC valve wiring harness from the stud.







4. Disconnect the vacuum supply hoses from the upper intake manifold.







5. Remove the IAC valve.
- Remove the two nuts.
- Discard the IAC valve gasket.

INSTALLATION







1. Install a new IAC valve gasket.







2. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
