Exhaust Pipe: Service and Repair

1. Raise and support the vehicle.





2. Remove the flexible pipe.
1 Remove the six nuts (four shown).
2 Detach the flexible pipe from the hanger insulator.

Installation

CAUTION: The hanger insulators are constructed of a special material. Use only the correct specification insulators.





1. NOTE: Check the hanger insulators for damage or fatigue. Install new insulators if required. Install new gaskets.

Install the flexible pipe.
1 Install the flexible pipe in the hanger insulator. Lubricate the hanger insulator with Myrpol Lubricant D7AZ-19553-AA or equivalent meeting Ford Specification ESE-M99B144-B.
2 Install the six nuts (four shown).
