Windshield Washer Pump: Service and Repair
REMOVAL1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.
2. Remove the pushpins and the RH quarter trim panel.
3. Remove the bolts.
4. Pull the rear window washer reservoir straight up and remove.
5. Disconnect the rear window washer pump electrical connector and hose.
6. Drain the washer solvent into a suitable, clean container.
7. Pry the rear window washer pump from the rear window washer reservoir.
8. Remove the rear window washer pump to reservoir seal and discard if it shows any signs of wear.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
CAUTION: Do not make electrical connection prior to filling the windshield washer reservoir. Do not operate the windshield washer pump prior to filling the windshield washer reservoir.
NOTE: When the battery is disconnected and reconnected, some abnormal drive symptoms may occur while the vehicle relearns its adaptive strategy. The vehicle may need to be driven 16 km (10 mi) or more to relearn the strategy.
