Test Notes

Normal Operation
The air bag Electronic Crash Sensor (ECS) module monitors its connection to the Total Warning System (TWS) module at Pin 13. This connection is used to signal a chime if the air bag indicator is inoperative. If the ECS detects a short to battery or ignition on the connection to the TWS, it will store a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) B1891 in memory.

Possible Causes
An air bag tone warning indicator circuit shorted to battery or ignition could be caused by:
^ a short to battery or ignition on Circuit 940 (GY).
^ a damaged or inoperative TWS module.
