Fuel Injector Wiring Harness: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

WARNING:
- DO NOT SMOKE OR CARRY LIGHTED TOBACCO OR AN OPEN FLAME OF ANY TYPE WHEN WORKING ON OR NEAR ANY FUEL RELATED COMPONENT. HIGHLY FLAMMABLE MIXTURES ARE ALWAYS PRESENT AND MAY BE IGNITED, RESULTING IN POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY.
- FUEL IN THE FUEL SYSTEM REMAINS UNDER HIGH PRESSURE EVEN WHEN ENGINE IS NOT RUNNING.


NOTE: Make sure the ignition switch is in the OFF position.

2. Remove the air cleaner outlet tube.
3. Remove the throttle body.
4. Disconnect the following:
- fuel charging wiring
- engine control sensor wiring
- Engine Coolant Temperature sensor (ECT sensor)
- Camshaft Position sensor (CMP sensor)
- fuel injectors
- Throttle Position sensor (TP sensor)
- Fuel pressure sensor







5. Remove the fuel charging wiring from the intake manifold.
- Remove the screws.
- Remove the fuel charging wiring.







INSTALLATION
1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
