Fuel Level Sensor

1. Remove the fuel level sensor and pump.







Check E (Empty) Position
2. Set the float rod to the lowest position. Measure the resistance between the R and B wire terminals of the fuel level sensor and pump connector (component side). The resistance should he 22.4 ohms.







Check Sensor Operation
3. Slowly raise the float rod to the highest position. The resistance should smoothly increase to 145 ohms. Return to the pinpoint test.
