Fan Blade: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

WARNING: TO AVOID THE POSSIBILITY OF PERSONAL INJURY OR DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE, DO NOT OPERATE THE ENGINE WITH THE HOOD OPEN UNTIL THE FAN BLADE HAS BEEN FIRST EXAMINED FOR POSSIBLE CRACKS AND SEPARATION.

NOTE: The fan motor, blade and shroud are not serviced separately.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.





2. Remove the two pushpins and the main wiring harness from fan shroud.





3. Disconnect the main wiring harness connector. Move the harness aside.





4. Remove the bolts and fan shroud from the radiator.
5. Remove the fan shroud.

INSTALLATION





1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.
