Tool Installation:

1. Position End Play Checking Tool 307-071 (T80L-7902-A) and Converter Guide Sleeve 307-159 (T86P-7902-A) in torque converter hub.





2. Tighten nut on end play checking tool.

Torque Converter Endplay Test:

3. Mount Dial Indicator with Bracketry 100-002 (TOOL-4201-C) or equivalent on end play checking tool.

With stylus contacting converter cover and with indicator at zero, lift on checking tool handles.

If indicator reading is above 1.27 mm (0.050 inch), replace the torque converter.
