Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Check the generator pulley for excessive looseness on the generator rotor shaft and for cracks or other damage. Replace any generator pulley that is loose, cracked or bent.
2. Check both the front and rear housings for cracks, particularly in the webbed areas at the mounting ear. Replace damaged or cracked housings.
