EGR Tube: Service and Repair






REMOVAL
1. Remove the EGR valve.
2. Remove the upper intake manifold.
3. Disconnect EGR pressure sensor hoses from EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube.
4. Disconnect EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube from EGR valve tube to manifold connector with a crowfoot wrench.
5. Remove EGR valve tube to manifold connector from exhaust manifold if required.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
2. Clean EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube sealing surfaces to remove any residual EGR valve gasket material.
3. Tighten EGR valve tube to manifold connector to exhaust manifold to 45-65 Nm (33-47 lb-ft), if removed.
4. Tighten EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube connector to 35-45 Nm (26-33 lb-ft).
5. Tighten two EGR tube to EGR valve nuts to 10 Nm (89 Lb-In) + 90 degrees.
