Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor: Description and Operation

- The fuel tank pressure sensor is located in the upper surface of the fuel tank in contact with the vapor space.
- It monitors pressure and vacuum inside the fuel tank and communicates this information to the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).
- The fuel tank pressure sensor monitors vacuum level inside the tank during the OBD II leak test of the evaporative emission system.
