A/C High Pressure Safety Valve

An A/C compressor pressure relief valve has been incorporated in the compressor's high pressure discharge manifold:
- to relieve unusually high refrigerant system discharge pressure buildups of 3103 kPa (450 psi) and above.
- to prevent damage to the A/C compressor and other A/C system components.

After the excessive pressure has been relieved, the valve closes to prevent total refrigerant loss.

The A/C compressor pressure relief valve is located in the A/C manifold and tube.
