Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Verify the customer's concern by operating the engine to duplicate the condition.
2. Inspect to determine if any of the following mechanical concerns apply:

Mechanical
- Engine coolant leaks.
- Engine oil leaks.
- Damaged and/or severely worn parts.
- Loose mounting bolts, studs and nuts.

3. If the concerns remain after the inspection, determine the condition and go to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
