Replacement

REMOVAL
1. Remove rocker arms.

CAUTION: If valve tappets and roller rocker arms are to be reused, mark position of the rocker arms and valve tappets to verify that they are assembled in their original positions.

2. Remove valve tappets from cylinder heads.
3. Inspect valve tappets. Replace as required.

INSTALLATION
1. Lubricate valve tappets with Engine Assembly Lubricant D9AZ-19579-D or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESR-M99C80-A and install valve tappets to cylinder heads.

NOTE: Make sure valve tappets are installed in their original locations.

2. Install rocker arms.
