Inspection and Verification (Start Testing Here)

1. Verify the customer's original concern by operating the parking brake system to duplicate the condition.
2. Inspect to determine if one of the following mechanical or electrical concerns apply:
Mechanical
- Damaged parking brake control.
- Binding / damaged parking brake cables.

Electrical
- Parking brake warning indicator switch.

3. If the concerns remain after the inspection, determine the symptoms and go to the Symptom Chart. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
