Passive Anti-Theft System Control Module

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove integrated control panel.
3. Remove screw retaining Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) control module to instrument panel.
4. Disconnect electrical connector and remove PATS control module.







INSTALLATION

NOTE:
- The PATS module must be reconfigured after replacement. Refer to the PATS Configuration Command Index. For additional reprogramming assistance, refer to the Help Screen on the New Generation STAR (NGS) Tester configuration card.
- After replacing the PATS module, there will be fault codes generated. Please refer to the appropriate pinpoint test to properly configure the module. This will enable the vehicle to then start.

1. Install PATS control module. Tighten retaining screws to 3.4-4.8 Nm (30-42 Lb-In).
2. Install an encoded ignition key (with correct vehicle mechanical key cut) into ignition switch and turn to RUN position to program the first key into control module.
3. To program additional keys, follow Spare Key Programming procedure.
