EGR Tube: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect EGR backpressure transducer hoses from EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube.
2. Disconnect EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube at EGR valve (EGR valve) and EGR valve tube to manifold connector.
3. Remove EGR valve tube to manifold connector from RH exhaust manifold if required.

INSTALLATION
1. Follow removal procedure in reverse order.
2. On 3.0L (2V) gasoline engines. tighten EGR valve to exhaust manifold tube nuts to 35-65 Nm (26-47 lb-ft). On 3.0L (2V) flexible fuel engines, tighten EGR valve-to-exhaust manifold tube connector to 30-40 Nm (23-29 lb-ft).
3. Tighten EGR valve tube to manifold connector to exhaust manifold to 35-65 Nm (26-47 lb-ft), if removed.
