Exhaust Crossover Pipe: Service and Repair

REMOVAL





1. Raise and support the vehicle.
- Disconnect the catalyst monitor sensor (CMS).

1 Unclip the wire harness.
2 Disconnect the CMS.






2. Remove the CMS.

NOTE: Manual transaxle vehicle shown, automatic similar.






3. Remove the LH flange nuts.





4. Remove the RH flange nuts.





5. On manual transaxle equipped vehicles, remove the converter inlet flange nuts.





6. On automatic transaxle equipped vehicles, remove the converter inlet flange nuts.





7. Remove the Y pipe bracket nut and remove the Y pipe.

INSTALLATION

















1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
