Fluid - M/T: Service and Repair

DRAIN PROCEDURE
1. Raise and support the vehicle.





2. Remove the drain plug and drain the fluid into a suitable container.

MTX-75 Manual Transmission:

3. Install the drain plug.
4. Lower the vehicle.

FILL PROCEDURE
1. Raise and support the vehicle.





2. Remove the fill plug.





3. Fill the transaxle to 0-5 mm below the lower edge of the filler plug bore.

NOTE: Use Motorcraft MERCON Multi-purpose Automatic Transmission Fluid XT-2-QDX or equivalent meeting MERCON specification. MERCON(R) automatic Transmission Fluid is being replaced by MERCON(R) V as a service fluid, as per TSB 06-14-4.

MTX-75 Manual Transmission:

4. Install the fill plug.
5. Lower the vehicle.
