Brake Drum Balancing

1. A bubble-type balancer can be used to determine if the brake drum is out of balance.
2. Fabricate a piece of mild steel with a curvature to match the face of the brake drum, having a maximum finished height of 12 mm (0.47 inches) and with the correct balance weight.

CAUTION: The only approved attachment method is arc welding with a maximum current of 100 amperes.

3. Arc weld the weight to the brake drum.
4. Road test the vehicle.
