Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
NOTE: Ordering the correct ignition lock cylinder to match existing vehicle keys can be achieved through Ford/Lincoln Mercury Dealerships.





1. Remove the steering column lower shroud.
^ Remove the three screws.





2. Remove the Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) transceiver.
1 Remove the retaining screw.
2 Remove the transceiver.





3. Remove the ignition lock cylinder.
1 Turn key to accessory (position I)
2 Use a thin bladed screwdriver to depress the retainer.
3 Remove the ignition lock cylinder.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
