Removal and Replacement

REMOVAL





1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.





2. Position the power assisted steering fluid reservoir to one side.





3. Remove the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) electrical connector retaining bolt.





4. Remove the powertrain control module.

INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure. Tighten the PCM bracket nut to 4 Nm. Tighten the PCM electrical connector retaining bolt to 4 Nm.

CAUTION: Make sure that the electrical connector locates correctly in the powertrain control module. Do not force or overtighten the electrical connector.
