Fuel Tank Mounting Straps: Service and Repair
REMOVALWARNING: Do not smoke or carry lighted tobacco or open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel related components. Highly flammable vapors are always present and may ignite. Failure to follow these instructions will result in personal injury.
1. Drain the fuel tank.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the muffler/tail pipe assembly.
4. Remove the rear exhaust heat shield.
5. Remove the stabilizer bar.
6. Support the fuel tank with the Powertrain Lift.
CAUTION: When supporting the fuel tank, use a suitable packing material to prevent damage to the underside of the fuel tank.
7. Remove the fuel tank support strap retaining bolts.
8. Remove the fuel tank support straps.
INSTALLATION

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
