Exhaust Pipe: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Raise and support the vehicle.





2. Remove the muffler inlet pipe flange nuts.

NOTE: Support the muffler assembly with a suitable jackstand.





3. Disconnect the muffler inlet pipe exhaust hanger insulator.





4. Disconnect the LH rear muffler exhaust hanger insulator.





5. On SVT equipped vehicles, disconnect the RH rear muffler exhaust hanger insulator.





6. Disconnect the exhaust pipe from the exhaust hanger insulator and remove the muffler assembly.

INSTALLATION





1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

NOTE: Prior to assembly lubricate the exhaust hanger insulators with Silicone Lubricant D7A-1 9553-AA.
