Valve Guide Seal: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove the valve tappets.





2. Remove the Valve Spring using a Valve Spring Compressor set and a Valve Spring Compressor Adaptor.
- Apply compressed air into the cylinder.
- Compress the valve springs and remove the valve.
- Remove the valve spring retainers and the valve springs.





3, Remove the valve stem seals using a Impact Side Hammer and a Valve Stem Seal Remover.

INSTALLATION





1. Install the valve stem oil seals using a Valve Stem Seal Replacer.

NOTE: Check the seating of the valve locks.





2. Install the valve springs using a Valve Spring Compressor Set and a Valve Spring Compressor Adapter.
- Insert the valve springs and the valve spring retainers.
- Compress the valve springs and install the valve locks.
- Disconnect and remove the air supply.
