With Automatic Transmission
REMOVALCAUTION: If brake fluid is spilled on the paint, the affected area must be immediately washed down with cold water.
1. Remove the reservoir filler cap.
1 Disconnect the low fluid level warning indicator switch electrical connector.
2 Remove the cap.
CAUTION: Make sure the filler cap does not become contaminated.
2. Using a suitable suction device drain the reservoir.
3. Disconnect the master cylinder brake tubes.
CAUTION: Block off the hose connections to prevent fluid loss or dirt contamination.
4. Remove the master cylinder.
- Remove the two retaining nuts.
CAUTION: Release the brake booster vacuum by removing the vacuum hose.
5. Remove the reservoir from the master cylinder.
- Detach the two retaining clips.
6. Remove and discard the O-ring seals.
INSTALLATION
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
CAUTION: Before installing the master cylinder ensure that the vacuum seal is in place and that the mating faces are clean.
2. Bleed the brake system.
