Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

1. Verify the customer concern by operating the keyless entry system.
2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical and electrical damage using the following chart.

NOTE: Ensure the battery is fully charged before starting electrical diagnosis.

VISUAL INSPECTION CHART

Mechanical
- Binding latch mechanisms.
- Binding linkage.
- Misaligned door.

Electrical
- Battery.
- Fuse.
- Damaged wiring harness.
- Loose or corroded connections(s).
- Circuitry open/shorted.
- Door lock switch.
- Power door lock actuator.
