Assembly






1. Lubricate the outboard joint bearings with Ford Constant Velocity Joint Grease E2FZ-19590-B or equivalent meeting Ford specification ESP-M1C187-A.
2. Install the outboard front wheel driveshaft joint boot.





NOTE: Wrap driveshaft splines with tape to protect the outboard front wheel driveshaft joint boot from being damaged.





3. Install the snap ring on the outboard side of the driveshaft.





4. Install a new driveshaft bearing retainer circlip.





5. Use a soft-face hammer to install the front wheel driveshaft joint by gently tapping it onto the drive shaft.





6. Remove any excess grease on the mating surfaces and slide the front wheel driveshaft joint boot forward onto the driveshaft joint.





7. Remove any excess air trapped in the front wheel driveshaft joint boot using a dull screwdriver after adjusting the front wheel driveshaft joint boot spacing.





8. Install two new front wheel driveshaft joint boot clamps using Boot Clamp Pliers D87P-1098-A or equivalent.





9. Use Sensor Ring Replacer T94P-20202-B to install a new front brake anti-lock sensor indicator.
10. Install the front wheel driveshaft and joint.
